The Copper Penny is our go to place since they opened in Rutherfordton. We have taken many friends there for food, drinks, conversation, and ambiance. We always sit in the bar. It’s the best. HOWEVER, a big negative for a while now has been the live music in the bar. It’s so loud you have to scream to carry on a conversation. Not enjoyable. I’d suggest moving the music back outside like it used to be or starting it at 7 instead of 6 (it actually started at 5 tonight) so old folks like us can can come in at 5 and be out of there before it starts. I still give it a 5 though because we really like going there.
