I had issues finding a restaurant that was able to cater our small wedding (20 people) at a venue in Marion. I reached out to Amy at Copper Penny Grill in Rutherfordton only 2 months before our our big day and luckily they were able to accommodate us! We live in the Raleigh area, so we were planning everything over phone and e-mail. Amy, the catering manager, was easy to work with and followed up with us a few days before to make sure everything was planned correctly. We ordered a few different appetizers along with the buffet that included crab cakes, stuffed shrimp Alfredo and beef tips. All of the food was fantastic and everyone kept commenting especially on the Foothill Fritters! We also opted for full service so they sent 2 servers to set up, clear tables and box everything up after dinner was finished. They were awesome and kept asking if we needed anything. Unfortunately we weren’t able to take the leftovers home due to limited space in hotel room fridge but wish we could of! We are still waiting on photos from our photographers but did get one photo in our sneak peek to share of our awesome food!
